Summary of Operations and Services
The Marion County Circuit Clerk’s Office is responsible for maintaining all records of the district and circuit courts of Marion County including circuit criminal cases, divorce, child custody juvenile and other domestic cases; land disputes, felony, misdemeanors and traffic cases, forcible detainers, name changes, garnishments and appeals.
Circuit Clerk’s office is also responsible for the issuance of driver’s licenses including commercial driver licenses and motorcycle permits and licenses.
Driver’s License Information
Permit (written) test: Examiner starts written testing every Tuesday at 8:30am and completes testing at 10:30am; please allow enough time to complete written test by 10:30am; CDL testing requires a longer test time; please allow enough time to complete by 10:30am.
Motorcycle road testing every Tuesday at 11:00am by appointment only subject to weather conditions; Skills/road testing every Tuesday afternoon beginning at 12:45pm by appointment only; call (270) 692-2681 a week before to schedule appointment for road test.
District Court is held Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 9:00am
Circuit Court is held twice monthly – 1st and 3rd Thursdays after the 1st Monday
